David Dodson in Concert

Friday, May 8, 2026 - 7:00 PM EST

David Dodson is bringing his wide-ranging American songbook to Watts Hall. A gifted songwriter whose work spans folk, rock, blues, jazz, and country, David moves effortlessly from poignant ballads to laugh-out-loud storytelling. He plays a mean guitar, sings with warmth and agility, and has the kind of rhythm that keeps a room leaning in. A New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival, he has shared the stage with artists such as K D Lang, Bill Staines, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Gordon Bok, and Chicago.

Praised as “one of the most entertaining performers on the folk scene today,” David is known for his versatility, imagination, and genuine connection with audiences. Reviewers have noted his remarkable range of voices and styles, as well as the kindness and humor that shine through his songs. Whether he is delivering a tender love song or a sharply observed slice of life, he delights and surprises from the first note to the last. You will go home smiling.

Tickets are $15 in advance / $20 day of show (if available). Discounted tickets for youth ages 12 and under are available for $10 in advance / $15 day of show (if available).
