Since 1890, Watts Hall has been part of Thomaston’s daily life and culture. It has served as a gathering place, a stage, and a symbol of community spirit. When Watts Hall Community Arts was founded in 2021, our goal was to carry that legacy forward and keep this historic downtown landmark alive as a place where creativity brings people together.
In just four years, we have brought more than fifty programs to Main Street. From concerts with Grammy-winning artists to theater, comedy, dance parties, and family programs that delight audiences of all ages, Watts Hall has become a cornerstone of the arts in our region. These events have strengthened Thomaston’s downtown economy, supported Maine’s creative professionals, and filled our hall with laughter, music, and applause.
Now, as Watts Hall undergoes renovations to improve safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency, we need your help to keep our momentum strong. Your gift to our Annual Appeal will sustain Watts Hall Community Arts while the building is closed through the spring of 2026. Donations will help us cover essential operating costs, plan future programs, and prepare for the day we can welcome you back through our doors.
Your contribution is more than a donation. It is an investment in the arts, in community, and in Thomaston’s future. Together, we can make sure that Watts Hall continues to be a place where creativity and connection flourish for generations to come.
